Spanish Connections - 6th & 8th Grades

Introduction: I would like to welcome all of you to your study of Spanish. As the word gets smaller, the need to speak more than one language is becoming more and more important along with the need to understand other cultures. Learning Spanish is a challenge but can also be fun. I am really looking forward to our adventures this semester.
Purpose: The sixth grade connections Spanish class serves as an introduction into the world of Spanish language and culture. After completing the semester of work required for the course, the student will have been exposed to many facets of the language and culture, and will be given the choice to continue with his or her studies in the seventh and eighth grades.

- Textbook: We will be using the ¡En Español! Textbook by McDougal and Littell
- Student Binders/Notebooks: Students will be expected to keep their own notebooks organized throughout the semester. This is a very common practice in High School Foreign Language classes.
